Let’s Get Started

One of the first steps we will take as your retained counsel is submit a notice of appearance with the prosecutor and the court indicating our firm represents you in your case. This will require all actions by the prosecutor and the court be taken through your attorney rather than you personally. We will serve a discovery demand on the prosecutor to provide all police reports and any accident reports issued by the police officer. We will immediately begin work on your case, including our request for a contested hearing where your lawyer appears for you without requiring your appearance or participation.

We will work with you and the prosecutor to resolve your matter fully and fairly. We will execute the option you demand. You decide. Your attorney will fully advise you prior to your decision.

Our firm will subpoena police officers or civilian witnesses directly as necessary, to include subpoenas for physical documents relating to speed measuring devices or other available evidence. We will diligently require proof of compliance with all relevant court rules and burdens of proof. The court rules exist to protect you.

You should not feel disturbed or regretful if your matter is dismissed, reduced, or receives some other favorable outcome. The court rules and evidentiary rules exist to protect you and all persons charged with a civil traffic infraction. Our goal is to have your ticket dismissed, amended to a titled infraction that is not reported to insurance or other agencies, deferred without a finding on payment of court costs, or a reduced monetary penalty. If this goal requires an actual trial of the facts at a hearing, we will take that action. Our fixed rate fee covers all these legal activities on your behalf.

You deserve an experienced attorney at Traffic Attorneys of Washington ® who has many years of experience, who knows the court rules backwards and forwards, who knows the rules of evidence and case law that govern a particular case, and an attorney committed to the Pursuit of Excellence.
